Cultivate and Keep
At Sycamore Fig Woodworking, we operate with two key principles in mind:
The world was designed to be both pleasing to the eye and good for life.
Applying this principle into all our work yields products and services that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally beneficial.
All things are intended to be this way: a family, a home, a sauna, a bed frame. All is intended to be enjoyable and functional.
We were made to cultivate and keep.
Not only must we work and produce, but we must also guard and preserve.
If we want anything we build to last, we cannot think only of the immediate, but must have one eye on the future when considering our material, methods, and craftsmanship.
Our work is done with the conviction that we do not ultimately work for ourselves or others. We are not motivated to serve ourselves, but to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
You may differ in your beliefs, but our convictions work strongly in your favor. We believe in honor, virtue, and kindness in light of the glory of Jesus.
One day, we will give an account of all our lives to him. We work as if this is true.
All work is tested.
Foundations will be shaken. Storms will come.
But we build to endure.
Build Something to Endure
If you have been inspired to build something to endure or want to be a part of what we are doing, reach out to us.
Even if we do not end up working together, we want to inspire you towards the good.
